The calculation of frigories necessary for an air conditioning unit to absorb the heat from a room can be affected by different factors such as the climatic zone of the house, orientation, windows, insulation, type of commercial premises or activity that you develop, for this reason, the calculations are indicative and approximate and are used to define an initial power of frigories.


How to calculate the necessary frigories for my Split air conditioning?

The basic data that we have to take into account to make an approximation of the necessary frigories are:

1. Dimensions of the room to be cooled (width, length and height).

2. Conditions of the room to be cooled (windows, orientation, insulation, type of activity, etc…)

To make the calculation you can use the following formulas:

- Stay with a normal heat level: Multiply by 40 the m3 (width x length x height) of the room to be cooled.

- For a hot room: Use the same formula, but multiply by 60 if the room is hot, and by 80 if the room is very hot (eg, attics or hairdressers).
