The UA30-30-10RA 220-230V 50Hz / 230-240V 60Hz is a three-pole capacitor switching contactor that can be used in installations where the maximum current far exceeds 100 times the rated rms current.

The contactors are delivered complete with their damping resistors and must be used without additional inductances (see table below). The capacitors must be discharged (maximum residual terminal voltage ≤ 50 V) before being re-energized when the contactors are in operation.

Its electrical durability is 250,000 switching cycles for Ue < 500 V and 100,000 switching cycles for 500 V ≤ Ue ≤ 690 V. The UA..RA contactors are equipped with a special front block that guarantees the insertion in series of 3 dampers. resistors in the circuit to limit the peak current when energizing the capacitor bank.

Its connection also guarantees the pre-charging of the capacitors to limit the second current peak that occurs when connecting the main poles. The insertion of resistors allows the highest current peak of the capacitor to be damped when turning it on, whatever its level. UA..RA series three-pole contactors have a block type design.
